I'm currently running Stoptech's 6 piston 355mm front big brake kit and 4 piston 345mm rear big brake kit. There's nothing wrong with the kit but I have an opportunity to purchase a barely used Alcon Advantage Extreme 365mm front and rear big brake kit. I was curious if it's worth the switch especially considering that Stoptech parts have limited availability. It would cost me almost nothing to get the Alcon's since I can just sell my Stoptech kit after.

Stoptech BBK to Alcon BBK? Worth the switch?

The Alcon's is a killer BBK setup. And it looks like they do have "nitrile rubber wiper seals" to protect the pistons from weather, so you could use them every day if you wanted.
The negatives I see are that the rotors are very expensive to replace and are 1/2 a pound heavier. I can't comment on the quality of the Alcon rotors, but I've heard mixed things about Stoptech rotor life (calling you Obioban).

I wouldn't bother. Those aren't the "high-end" Alcon kits -- look at Bimmerworld's site for the high-end stuff that is actually quite incredible.
StopTech is perfectly fine even though the company disappeared. Everything short of caliper bodies is easily supported in the aftermarket. Pistons, seals, dust boots, rotor rings -- all available. Bimmerworld has even stepped up and had some custom hats commissioned for existing StopTech kit owners.'03.5 M3 SMG Coupe - Jet Black / Black
