Just got this message from Bomiz:

    ”Hey Julian,

Full release will be around end of July or beginning of August at which time all pre-orders will ship out. Orders placed too close to that time or after will be subject to availability as these have been selling more than anticipated, and price will increase as well since the pre-order pricing is a discounted rate and will go up once fully released. Let me know which version you’re interested in and I can make sure that we have the inventory!

It would be nice to see a review to understand fit and finish before placing an order. For the price, I'm not expecting top tier stuff but would hate to have fit issues and be stuck with it.

I just want to add, section 1 does zero for performance.. this forum is becoming the 90s civic forums. Get the lightest section 1, just move on. smh

pretty sure it's been established that this is primarily a sound mod, which these days is probably more important than chasing power considering how relatively slow this car is

Yea given my car is a vert as well, performance is last on my list. First is looks, then sound then performance.

Anyways, I may just order it and take a shot at it. I've been trying to contact RE about their EL section 1 and they aren't giving me any solid information.

Sunbeam came in with a pretty ridiculous pricing on these pipes, probably because they knew they were the only ones currently making them (they weren't even the first)

Seems the rest of the fellow copycats just went along with the premium pricing, glad to see a company coming in at reasonable prices

If sound is the major objective, why not go with American Racing Headers? That 6-in-1 collector makes a better high pitch sound than anything else on these engines. Pricing with cats isn't too bad either considering you're getting headers and section 1 in one package.

At least for me, here on CA, we have to smog test the car for emissions every two years and installing and uninstalling headers is a large job. Swapping out a section 1 is a lot easier.

I placed an order with Bomiz for their catted version at the end of April.
I inquired last week about expected delivery date and was told early August still.
When, or if, it arrives I’ll post my findings

Posted previously but if you're planning on using their section 1 and OE catted headers, you're actually exacerbating the problem that you're attempting to "solve". Their parts would make the exhaust banks more unequal in length prior to section 2. There is probably a reason that an exhaust company posted their dyno sound clip from the front of the car.

                      YMMV.

Aren't bank 2 (rear) header equally "shorter" on both Euro and USDM catted headers, relative to the front header? From rogue site:

In both headers, the EL section 1 from Bomiz/Sunbeam/Rogue effectively lengthens the bank 2 exhaust path - am I missing something? I'm genuinely curious

Someone else noted that banks 1 and 2 crossover on the US headers and not on the euro headers.

Quick Google result of each manifold. The longer secondary is on the inside on US cars and it's on the outside for euro cars (and most aftermarket headers.

Ah thanks for clarifying- I see the crossover in the pic

So the equal length set ups that are designed to work with euro headers should also be equal length for aftermarket catless headers, correct?
