+1 for a Bay Area meet up as well. I have a bone stock 06 zcp and thinking about going full on down the mod rabbit hole

Just food for thought, if you ever thought to yourself "I should get an exhaust," put that budget into your CSL intake fund instead. You won't be able to hear the exhaust over the induction noise anyway ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I use a Turner carbon intake kit combined with the Eventuri bumper intake scoop, and the combination is great. The scoop doesn't increase nose or anything, but it just helps make sure cooler air gets to the Turner intake since it doesn't have a snorkel.

Or just get a louder exhaust and have lots of noise from both ends! go go go!

Leave it stock if itโ€™s nice. If itโ€™s ratty, no big loss if you make it worse. Speaking as someone who made a ratty car worse.

CSL box is ALL these S54 engine'd cars need. the Z4M exhaust is actually very different to the E46, I assume it has to do with the different exhaust post cats, is not tiny, nor raspy. wonder if is the X pipe v H Pipe. has anybody tested one on the e46 and see how much sound changes?

The exhaust note is so mediocre versus the exoticness of the intake side.

Fair enough. Almost all of the modding I was looking to do was weight/structure related, KARB CF CSL pieces, Cobra Nogaro Carbon Buckets, Replace Nav -> Business CD, Slon Triangulation kit, etc.

Power wise, I think the only thing I would want is the Airbox and a tune. Maybe Euro Headers?

All reversible stuff. Go for it! Keep the stock/original bits.
