cars to 2004 have V1 diff with more output shaft plays on the R; after 2004 cars with V2 diff with more plays on the left side.
I would say the plays on the output is about 45* of wheel rotation, normal.

45*??? Did you mean degrees? If so you would need a good number of missing teeth on the spline for that.

play on the V2 is about 1-2mm longitudinally and only about 1mm radially. A .2mm shim fixes the play which is driven by the floating design of the side gear on the crown side of the V2

also, that play is really inconsequential, just helps to make the clunk more noticeable.

The output flanges spline plays is not the cause as they are almost zero.
It's the side gear and the spiders plays. Jack up the wheels, rotate/rock it back forth hard and take/post a video.

Clearly you don’t know what you are talking about

The splined shaft should have zero rotattional plays. On V1 diff the right shorter output flange has more dial plays than the left longer output flange and this is the major reason for leaking seal. The opposite for V2 diff. But this is radial plays and not rotational plays which we're talking about.
