    Chassis to engine ground

My understanding is that this car, like all E46s, has a ground strap connecting the motor to the chassis via the passenger engine mount. Is that true? If so, what's the p/n? All I can find on FCP is https://www.fcpeuro.com/BMW-parts/M3...eywords=ground but that's described as a battery cable. Sifted through realoem but wasn't able to find it.

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah it's there. Part number is 12421737755, so looks like the first result in your link is the correct one. It's here on realoem: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=12_1106

      Thanks!

I saw that diagram but got confused because 1, the starter is on the opposite side of the engine from where this ground strap would be, and 2, part number 4 in that diagram looks like what the more modern chassis ground straps look like so I thought it was that, but it's not listed with a part number there.
