Need advice. Rusted rounded bolts section 1 to 2

Was going to removed my section 1 to do a little work, but the nuts holding section 1 and 2 are rusted and round. Whats the best/easiest way to remove and replace? Drop section 1 and 2 together and grind the nuts off car? Try heat? Any nugget of advice would be appreciated.

Try PB blaster and heat. You will have to replace them and they will most likely break anyways.

Worst cast scenario, a pneumatic hammer will be needed. With that, you can chop the bolts off. It's super loud though. Like 130-140db's kind of loud.

Theoretically , If I angle grind off the nuts, it should separate. Curious why you had to drill out bolts. Did the rust fuse them in the holes?

5lb hammer and a good chisel makes short work of them as well.

i had to drill two of them a bit free before i was able to punch them out with a hammer as they weren't moving at all. maybe that won't be the case for you.

I had this exact problem last week. Here’s what you’re gonna want to do, remove the driver rear wheel and remove the section 3 from the section 2 and drop the the exhaust 1 and 2 together. You must remove 2 reinforcement plates and theY brace or whatever they call it. Then use an angle grinder and grind off the bolts. Stick something like a screwdriver where the bolts would be, and smack it with a hammer. No need to drill them out. If you have any questions let me know
