How is this different than getting the stock karbonious carbon box (not CSL) for $1700 and then adding the eventuri intake?

I am not by any means a rep or expert of either product. But from what I have seen in pictures. The Karbonius OEM style CF box is a very similar shape/design to stock plastic airbox. It takes the stock accordian elbow.
While the Eventuri “Hybrid” box has an extended longer CF plenum that replaces the stock elbow and MAS adapter plate.

Karbonius OEM Style CF Airbox. Fits just like stock no modifications needed. +12 db sound over stock box.

Great photos. It looks like it has better more direct air flow. I guess we will have to wait and see if there is a functional difference.

Having my Karb CSL in a non-smog state I am set, but after seeing these side by side photos I now better understand how there is a place for this.

You get a CSL like sound, arguably better eye candy than the Karb C.F stock airbox, get to keep the MAF and with stock tuning if you so choose.

The price, well, that stirs up some debates understandably when compared to a full on CSL box.

However, if you are in a smog state that doesn't have a visual component and are timid of tuning this is a no-brainer imo.

People will do what they want for a myriad of reasons, cool to see this offering!

Only $455 difference in the price if you already have the Eventuri intake. You'd be a lot better off selling your current intake system and buying the full kit.

If anyone's looking to go this route, I'm interested a nice used Eventuri intake.
