Ready for these pics. Really wish they priced it more competitively to the OE Karb box but still looking forward to pics and reviews.

Shout out to Andrew B at FCP Euro customer support that assisted with my order. On two occasions shortly after placing order my funds were refunded with an "out of stock explanation". This despite showing "ships in 4 days" on website. So I basically had to call and tell them to shut up and take my money. Delivery ETA April. So stoked.

Quality appears 10/10, and carbon is thin and feels very delicate. I have not touched a typical CSL style carbon box in person for comparison, however. Spent time to install but brittle plastic hose connectors broke and I fought the internal battle of continuing regardless or stopping to order a new hose from FCP to do it right. Install temporarily paused due to this hose issue under the box.

Got new hose and will update with final install pics soon, hopefully over the weekend. While I was in there I ordered all new fasteners and screws for the fan shroud and plastic bits so it’s all accounted for. Stay tuned!

My copy just arrived. FCP Euro fulfilled order quickly. Late March estimate for install. I'll share install notes as others are already contributing. Stoked!

Hopefully this is more durable than their earlier CSL boxes. Holy crap...Evolve used some not so sturdy mountings on those.

I'd be scared of any place that has a fastener glued in. If the part requires internal threads then a knurled insert should be molded into the part. This also makes part production much harder and more costly - even with prepreg.

I think the trumpet mounting makes a lot of sense.

Any issues with the strut bar?

Apologies for the delay; here is a quick picture I snapped.

Overall, driveability is as smooth as OEM which is a huge factor for me. I had the Karb csl style airbox previously installed and ultimately had to swap it back out because I never dialed it in right for city / low RPM driving.

From a sound perspective, the note is fuller than the intake alone. I would analogize it as 1) eventuri intake - trumpet; 2) hybrid airbox trombone; 3) karbonius csl style airbox tuba.

The Karb definitely has more bass resonance at lower rpm 3-4k / and wails equally as loud at 6-8k rpm with slightly lower tone. However, it always felt and sounded a bit gimmicky to me since I didn’t have the rest of the exhaust done.

The hybrid does a good job of giving a bit more fullness due to the carbon resonance while still feeling very OEM+. My guess is the Karb OEM box sounds similar. This package aesthetically looks more uniform and complete.

                  Happy driving!

Any chance you can do a sound clip?

I'll try to get one going - it definitely sounds different than the IG videos from Eventuri.

Care to share the part# for the lower hose you replaced. I'll pull one in before my install just in case

Those that have installed, what are you doing about the dipstick?

Yea could be worth doing as mine was dry rotted and brittle. I also did the throttle actuator that’s under the airbox and the CPV hoses same time while I was in there.

The airbox has a nice bracket that clamps it and holds snug with pressure around the dipstick and a foam cushion so it does’t slap around.
