    SMG Compression springs

I am having a problem with the car going out of gear while under engine braking. I had asked this question in the old forum and was told it could be the compression springs on the transmission. Unfortunately I did not save the thread or any of the part numbers.

Is there anyone here that has any info on this. I did a search on this forum + used wayback machine on M3forum with no luck.

    Any help is appreciated.

      That’s great! Thanks!!

I guess for the spring on the passenger side I have to buy the whole assembly, #1.

      Will order today.

Yup. BMW sells a rebuild kit. There's actually three springs even though realoem shows it as one.
