While the height of the stock pedal felt crappy for the first few weeks, I got used to it and enjoyed the normal effort - knee pain went away. I'm not the only forum member who bailed on this part for the same reason but it could be a non-issue for you.

Also, I hate copycats. So many companies have copied Mason designs without giving him any credit. For that reason, I'd always go with Mason over copy cats. Though John has passed away recently and I'm not sure if anyone took over the business, if his products are still being manufactured. RIP John!

Finally, as some others have said, I'd simply replace the pedal bushings if I were you...
Thank you for this! Super helpful and just what I was looking (hoping) to see.

As for pedal effort, I am OK with an increase. Might actually prefer it really. The clutch in my 997 GT3 feels like it requires two legs to depress. After an hour in traffic, you get involuntary twitches. If you haven’t experienced that clutch pedal, try it next time you see one at Cars and Coffee. This post doesn’t begin to prepare you for the effort level.

As for the “while I’m in there list,” what else should I add? I’ve got: pedal, pedal bushings, Bimmerworld line (are there any alternative brands?), cylinder and brake bushings (Delrin).

Rogue makes one as well, it appears.

Ah yep, I have that one. The rogue pedal came with delrin bushings and I got some delrin bushings for the brake pedal as well. Everything is nice and solid now. If you don't have a clutch stop now is a good time too.
