[Review] Mile End Composities/GT4 CSL Diffuser

I thought I would write a little review for the Gt4 Mile End Composites CSL diffuser.

TLDR: Stop buying Ebay/Chinese junk. You get what you pay for as and this part meets the quality you'd hope for from these guys. The fitment, weave, and finish is all pretty much spot on.

Shipping: It was shipped properly in a box with ample bubble wrap and arrived safely to California from Montreal.

    First look.

Paint: I gave clear guidance to the shop on how to mask the paint with provided examples pictures. IDK about ebay diffusers but this part makes it easy to get the paint line correct. The shop had no troubles and it came out perfect.

Installation: Not much to say here because it's that easy. You literally just pop the stock one off, and the MEC diffuser pops in like stock. Zero modification to stock bumper required. I missed taking pics of the back of the part, but I'm sure GT4 can provide these if curious.

Finished look: Near perfect fit. No funny weave showing through the paint. Fits great around aftermarket tips.

Summary: Fantastic part. Well worth the $. Happy customer. I get nothing from writing the review and was never asked to. I just want providers like these to keep making parts for our vehicles as we're lucky to have them. I know where I'm going for my CSL front bumper in the future.

Fitment looks awesome and diffuser looks great. Where did you get the exhaust tips in pictures 6-8? Did you go back to stock tips ?

Unlike most/all CSL diffusers on the market, we make the mold using a non CSL diffuser to get the perimeter fitment as good as possible cause even OEM CSL diffuser fitment isn't perfect.

Fitment is better than our previous Mile End CSL diffuser from mold #1 made 8 years ago.

I’m sure doing that adds time and expense. 👍👍

How much did it cost when you purchased and what was lead time like?

Another +1 for Mile End Composite/ GT4. I have their CSL front bumper. Both quality and fitment is top notch.

Now please make a CSL trunk that will fit like oem or better

First version was made from an original CSL diffuser. Quality and fitment was good, especially for the price back then.

OEM CSL diffuser gap between bumper and diffuser are a bit more wider in both top corners. Also the "waves" on both side aren't identical fitment as non CSL diffuser.

                  Price is $1200usd shipping included

If you want one, figure a 1-2months delay cause in the last 2 weeks I had new orders for 5-6 CSL bumpers and 1-2 diffusers.

The tips are the same in the last pic, just low lighting. You can see more details in my journal: link. Also Avedis installed them in his journal.

Are those just tips installed on to a stock muffler? I ask because I'm about to install my ME diffuser but have a borla muffler and the current aftermarket diffuser doesn't sit straight against the muffler. The left side pushes down causing the diffuser to look slanted. Your set up seems to be level and straight across.

And any detailed photos you used to give to the paint shop for reference when painting? Or did you just use any old CSL photo Google?

I just printed some basic pictures for reference then put some notes describing in detail what I'm looking to do. It should be pretty straight forward. If any concern ask them to send a pic of the masking before spraying.
