    GM5 recommends?

Pretty sure the GM5 module in my car is staring to go bad. Any recommendations as to where to pick up a new one and how best to code at home?

I bought one on ebay and also pulled one from a local wrecker from a 330ci, only paid $10 for that one. There’s tutorials on YouTube on how to code them with ISTA.

You can also buy new relays and fix yours and not have to code anything at all.

Scott is a good resource as well, very knowledgeable (spoke to him recently regarding mine)

The lock/unlock relays are known to fail. Your best bet is to fix the one you have as a used unit could eventually have the same issue.

This is the most well known service - https://www.bmwgm5.com/GM5_Repair_Service.htm , though some people have had issues getting their GM5s back in a timely manner. You might want to email him before sending it in.

Another option is the buy the relays and take it to a local electronics shop to get them swapped out.

I cut open the relay housing and clean the pitted contacts and it should work like new again
