    Odd Cold Start

My car always had since I've purchased it. When doing a cold start, the car quickly dips in rev once or twice and then everything is normal.
    Any thoughts?

I just had a similar issue. I check and clean maf, ICV, fuel injectors throttle body intake ports. no dice, problem got worse eventually and it turned out to be the checkvalve on the SAP. I just deleted it.

Sounds good. I'll give this a go.

do you have a picture of this check valve?

did you just remove the complete SAP , the rounded thing next to the header / windshield washer location?

        thank you

Probably talking about this. I had to replace all my SAP stuff as well.

If you mess with it, may as well order the hose at the same time. Mine cracked.

I believe there is another backflow valve under the windshield wiper as well

I forget, but it might depend on the year. Mine is an 04 and it's a simple SAP setup - the fan thing, a hose, and the check valve. I believe older cars might have an extra vacuum line or something somewhere.

Mines 04 as well but I have not gotten around to check this stuff out yet. I'll update if I see anything different on mine.

                  Mine does this occasionally too.

                  SAP been deleted.

And also if I get in a twist the key and crank too fast sometimes the motor doesn't start until I repeat the process. Always starts though. Very weird almost like electronic unit preventing engine from firing

At this point I stopped caring cause it’s never not started on me

You didn’t touch the pedal the whole time?

Is it on the original fuel pump?

Just so everyone knows, not sure what it was but I got my car coded again since my car was converted from SMG to Manual by previous few years ago. We found some cables not properly connected and also car wasn't coded properly. Also removed SMG DME. Car now fires up fine. I've also had ingnition coil go bad on me and those were OEM so I went with a FCP kit and everything is normal now.

Not sure. I am assuming. Only had car for a year and half.
