Factory Manual Car- Cruise Control/Shift Lights Not Working

Ok guys I feel like I’m at uncharted waters at this point on what this could because I’ve done the following and everything is checking out so I don’t really know where else to turn because this is not an obvious problem…

-checked continuity of all clutch switch wires and confirmed there is no short

-switched the brown clutch switch for a euro 701 green one then drove the car and hit rev limiter and tried to enabled cruise control. Neither function working

-brand new gear position sensor that failed a while back

-brand new cluster (I bought this for a different reason, but it also confirms that the shift light issue is not related here because the original cluster had the same problem.

-INPA test for chain grip function works as intended (off with pedal out and on with the clutch pressed to the floor)

-confirmed in ecuworx that cruise control and shift lights are enabled in the csl tune file

-CSL dme on PD31 via bdm

-Checked fuse 9 and it’s not blown

-No obvious codes on any of the modules (scanned the whole car because why not?)

So at this point, I am completely out of ideas on what else is left because I would consider myself extremely knowledgeable on this platform because I even know the wiring to fix this on SMG to manual swap cars and this is an original factory manual car and I cannot figure out what the hell is going on lol.

If anyone has any ideas, please chime in because I would love to get both of these functions back and I’m certain that it’s tied to one thing hopefully?

The clutch seemed like it was the most obvious at this point but Inpa kinda says otherwise because chain grip function works just fine which would not be the case if the switch was wrong and I have both of the factory M3 700 and 701 switches. No change with either.

One thing you could try doing just for a test is to take your tune file and modify it like an SMG conversion person would... Which is to delete the gear position sensor and the gear position sensor DTC and see if you get a different effect.

      Gear Position Sensor Delete:
If you choose to not install the Gear Position sensor, you need to short the gear position sensor wire together OR wire the clutch switch directly to the DME. Additionally, you need some software modifications

      1) Set K_SKRAFTS_CONTROL to 02 (default should be 01). This is located at 0x4028 on the MSS54 and 0x802A on the MSS54HP

      2) Set K_S_GANG_LL_ED to 0xFFFF (default should be 0x0032). This is located at 0x35AE on 1701/2101, 0x35DA on 2801, 0x5952 on 2001/2701, and 0x582E on 0301/0401 (CSL)

      3) US cars: Set K_MD_MIN_VERH_KRAFTS to 0xA0. It is located at 0x67E0 on 2801 (MSS54). It is located at 0x88A2 on 2701 (MSS54HP). Default value is 0x80 on US cars (Euro cars are already at 0xA0).
