    Head Install question

    Hey Guys,

Im installing a head this weekend and want to see what tool you guys use for the head bolts. I have a Snapon digiatl torch wrench and wondering if you guys use those for the torque and degree turns... or do you guys use the gauges? Just wondering what the best solution is?

    Thanks!

I used a manual gauge with a clip on flexible wire to have a reference point.

I used the techangle for both torque and degree

          I used Victor Reinz Bolts

Used one of these magnetic angle gauges on my torque wrench 1/2 inch

I was going to say - first step is to remove head from your ass...🤣...but I guess that's not what we are talking about.

I used a 1/2" snap on techangle. Makes life much easier vs an old school angle gauge.

3/8" rod will twist too much and the torque angle will be wrong. Use 1/2" for this.

I used a standard torque to set the initial torque spec, then used breaker bar and referenced to a location on the car for the desired torque angle to get there. Simple and it worked.
