Yeah i already replaced it. With minimal recess this time (about 1mm)
When I took the seal out I measured the depth from the flange to the nearest surface and it was 11mm. The seal had a depth of 7mm. In certain locations I had a dept of 4.3mm on the one I messed up. So it was good I changed it.
Depth from the beveled edge to the plastic clip is 11 mm and seal is 7 mm thick leaving 4 mm? If that’s the case, I would think OP’s isn’t set too deep.
