Honestly, I'm not sure if that mod is recommended anymore. The only case in which I think it would help would be if you got a code exclusively because the pump was too hot (not some secondary effect caused by the fluid being less viscous). From what I've seen, I think most people's problems can be resolved by a total pump rebuild or just pump motor replacement. I'm assuming that you're having SMG problems, if so what codes are you getting when the cog light comes on?Comment

yea, i hear this is not a true fix to the actual problem. relocation (along with the proper pump rebuild) is the better solution.Comment
