    DMG Autosport not fulfilling order

    Hey all,

I ordered a nice Pro-46 R 3-piece August 10th. Brandon from DMG makes it very clear what happens, the turnaround time, etc. Very understandable as it's a one man show. But it's now December 3, and radio silence from his end. No updates, any of his claimed "complimentary incentives for my patience." Does anybody know him/know what's going on? Anybody with similar experiences?

    Thanks

Brandon was very responsive and on the ball when I made my order, this sounds out of character.

Hopefully he's OK. His product is worth the wait.

Your concern is reasonable given the timeframe but the title is a bit alarmist without Brandon stating he’s not fulfilling orders himself.

How have you been reaching out to him? You can DM him on IG in addition to emailing him at [email protected]

My strut tower braces took 2 months last year so 4 months for a piece with this many complications makes sense.

He’s a 1 man shop and also relies on a 3rd party powder coated to finish the pieces once he’s done with the fabrication and heat signatures.

Sadly, yes, I've dm'ed both DMG Autosport, his personal account, and in addition emailed him and texted his number from his instagram. Heard absolutely nothing. Also had pb_e46 reach out to him as well for me, and seems like he has not responded to PB either.

As a reference point, I ordered the same item April 2024 and received June 2024. Was responsive during that time. Best of luck.

Messaged him on your behalf also. I’ll reply in this thread when I hear back from him.

Interesting timing you posted this as I was wondering the same. I recently messaged him through his site, and via IG. No response on either.

I ended up buying a Karbonius(strut brace) with the BF discount. Hopefully he's alright.

                  Any updates here?

Edit: the email address is longer active, maybe DMG is no longer as well.

this is pretty common in the Toyota aftermarket scene with armor fabricators…they get behind with orders, material prices go up along with everything else, they keep taking new orders and eventually just go MIA

Too bad, not really another option like that. I want a bar that has flat "footings" for maximum tower coverage and a removable center.
I may have to do what another member on here has done, buy an RE and modify it.

A removable center section essentially makes the strut brace a vanity piece.

I wouldn't say that is the case with the DMG bar, its essentially put together the way some rolls bar are. It's all about how the removable section is attached.

I am not arguing its the same one piece but its not nothing.

I just installed one with the raised bits on the bottom. Mine is an early model with bumpy strut towers so i had to use spacers. These could also be used for standard strut tower models. Protects the paint too.

I was thinking though, I don't see any reason the raised portion couldn't be knocked down/grinded flat? I'm not doing it to mine, but if it bothers someone that much...

My main issue is my towers cracked along the holes and I didn't do a great job grinding the welds. I had to grind welds on the top and bottom, unfortunately I went too far in some areas.

I don't have cracks anymore but I do have reduced metal thickness in areas that are near the holes unfortunately. I really feel I need a flat footing on top and plates on the bottom at this point.

Edit: Maybe I'll order the spacers for my towers (even though they don't have the bumps) and use with the stock bar until I can maybe find a suitable alternative in down the line. More surface area on the tops of the towers.
