Sunbeam Section 3: first Impression’s, Thoughts and opinions

My Sunbeam section 1 arrived yesterday too! Wondering how it will sound with the stock section 3, will let you know!

Hopefully! That's what I'm excited to see. I'm on OEM everything besides Megan headers, and the exhaust really opens up past 3k, and is nice and reserved below that. Will be an interesting combo for sure! I'll record some sound clips after install.

Just installed the sunbeam section 1 to pair with their section 3. Here you can compare the differences between exhaust setups w/cats & without. As well as the stock setup, SCZA muffler only, CSL Headers + Euro Catted section + SCZA Muffler. Hope this provides some insight for anyone interested in this exhaust setup.

Sounds unique for sure. Good tone, rips, but the overall volume and drone would probably get old.

Also out of curiosity, what's up with the roof box? No judgement, genuinely curious.

You’re right it’s very loud, but luckily I’m still not the loudest on my block lol. There’s someone with an insanely loud 992 GT3 up the block and his car is louder or at least just as loud. Luckily the drone only lasts up until 3k rpm then disappears. I adjust how I drive and it becomes less of an issue. Still thinking about modifying the section 2 or see if Sunbeam release their own to reduce more drone.

I initially bought the box for my E91 wagon. That ended up getting totaled and I stored the box inside my apartment on the wall. I have a child + a dog and we took the M3 and box up for Car Week to store all our stuff. Worked flawlessly. Then at the start of this year my dog had to have surgery and we’ve had to put him in a play pen where the roof box hung on the wall so now the box is just mounted on the M3 until further notice.
