Crazy result (congrats!). This now gives us all unrealistic expectations on what we might be able to get for our cars lol

I believe that if you do sell it, you're gonna sell a gem. The fact that you invested this much money and showed so much love, the new owner wouldn't really embrace that.

I know this isn't the right place to discuss other topics, but I was trying to respond to your Euro Headers. Do you mind if I have your contact info to discuss more seriously? Thank you!

Congrats, OP. I was going to chime in and vote for outer-SF storage, but it appears I am too late.

FWIW, I toy with selling from time to time as well. But once you’re $100k in on the car (as you were), it’s pretty damn capable. Good on you for making the hard choice.

Thanks everyone, really happy with the outcome!

Still very sad to see it go, but feel confident I made the right choice. Seller is a fellow Houstonian and is even going to keep the car with my mechanic going forward. He's pretty much me but 10 years ahead, so he's got a garage spot for it and has been taking his 9 to 12 year old daughters out for drives in it already to get icecream. Even said I get first right of refusal in 4 years when he needs to sell it so his daughter can have her first car haha. Couldn't have turned out better honestly!

As for the cars and bids experience, you do need to put a lot of effort into creating the listing and providing feedback once they draft the actual post. But the transaction was very smooth using their SafePay escrow service, car was picked up same day and funds were in the bank the following afternoon.

Hope the strong result helps the market for E46s to continue to increase!
