These are actually a grand in most places, but found it with this eBay seller for $800, like I mentioned previously: https://www.ebay.com/itm/297801760190
Do the Anti-Gravity Li-On batteries require a vent tube? And if so, does the factory vent tube fit?

Also if you guys think these antigravity batteries are expensive you should see how much a new F8x Li-On battery costs from BMW.

      Nope, I don't believe so.

Running the Antigravity ATX30 ($350 shipped) in both the M3 and GT3. Battery with mount weighs like 7 lbs. I'm terrible about plugging in the M3 to a charger, and it can sit for two weeks untouched before the battery shuts off. Would recommend.

        Hi-Power lightweight ATX30-RS lithium motorcycle/powersports battery with RE-START Technology (built-in jump-starting). Replace lead/acid YTX30. 880 CA!

If you're interested in saving weight, Antigravity for sure but if you have a mostly stock car it's stupid as hell to spend 8-1000 on a damn battery.

I ran a Bosch Mini/CSL battery for at least 10 years across 2 batteries from Pepboys.

Just in November I went the Interstate route via Costco.

To be fair there are a lot more expensive ways to drop 30lbs, ask me how I know lol

I have always run WalMart AGM batteries. They seem to last if maintained and its easy to warranty if not as there are WM's everywhere. I've even warrantied batteries as not the original purchaser.

I would like to put in a smaller battery as I just need it to crank the car over for the most part. I've considered going to an H5 or so to get some weight savings, but I'm pretty bad about battery maintenance. So I am considering an anti-gravity/Li battery with a smart shut off feature for when the car sits and to save some weight. The price certainly hurts my feelings but the benefits are really starting to add up.

I didn't forget about you guys, I'm working with Antigravity to get an official discount code... I need to have an "onboarding meeting" first, whatever that means. Give me 24 hours.

                  Duracell AGM - $208 with 20% off - https://www.batteriesplus.com/produc...-gas/sli94ragm

6 years old so far with one discharge event where it hit 5V probably due to the faulty heater control panel or leaving the hood ajar triggering the hood sensor. Still working like a champ.

Have you tried a service like this?

Shop in the US, Germany, UK, or Japan then ship worldwide with one of the top-rated international parcel forwarding service providers. Best Prices for International Shipping with DHL, FedEx, DPD & UPS.

Since our recent tariff situation I've run across multiple vendors that refuse to ship to the US, so I've had to have a few things forwarded, the process is really simple.

Here's the one from Costco I'm looking at. Going to see if my local Costco has it in stock.

A vignette for those of you buying pricey batteries:

With our 2002 that has 180k miles, it seemed like that car needed a new battery every couple of years. The car would fail to start, my son would go pickup something cheap from an auto parts store so he could get going. But the damn thang still sounded tired when cranked, even with a new battery. Years pass…

I was doing the clutch this winter. I put a new starter in…and I heard angels sing when I cranked it for the first time. I actually shed tears of joy at the sounds of a rapidly cranking BMW S54 firing up almost instantly.

Word to the wise: Your 20 year old starter owes you nothing.

There are 5 or 6 failure modes, and all are well underway. Make sure an original starter doesn’t kill your fancy new battery.

I bet a big issue with the starter is the motor assembly getting caked with grime. I'm sure cleaning the starter will help the solenoid last a lot longer and draw less current. Less physical resistance to overcome.

I'm sure that's an factor, but I had issues with the car sitting at shops for months at a time and dying... I went through 3 AGM batteries in 4 years before I went with Antigravity and I haven't had an issue since.

You can use either 40AH or 60AH, I personally went with 60 since I run amps and subs, but you can probably just get away with 40AH
