    New Video By Vince !

    VinceSE2

    New Video available by Vince

My full catalogue has arrived, and it was worth every cent! The package arrived promptly and safely all the way down here in Australia. Tip-top service—Vince went above and beyond with both before- and after-sales support. Highly recommended!

As you might know from my other posts, I haven't installed it yet. I’m still hunting for a new panel (mine has a gap rather than just a crack) and I've been busy trying to track down an oil leak

Just watched the entire video. Fantastic way to burn 45 minutes on a Saturday over a cup of coffee.

REALLY good explanation of the forces at play and the crappy BMW design he's addressing.

VinceSE2 I left a comment in your video. You should drop a link in your video description to make it as easy as possibly for people to click to your site. But then I remembered you don't have a website.

What is the best way to purchase one of these?

Also... I'll moved directly to researching next, but I have the weld-in underside Turner Motorsports plates on my car. I can't recall if there is a version you make that is compatible with OPP - "other people's plate"...?

I just took an angle grinder and thinned out my old plates until there was nothing left, then cleaned up the remaining welds with a finger sander and the underside came out basically untouched. I think that is a much better way than trying to cut new plates around old plates.

        Fantastic tip. Appreciate it.

Thanks so much for your appreciation!
            It means a lot 🙏

I saw your cooking and responded a short while ago. And followed your advice regarding the website link.

My website and web shop is currently under development. This video is actually part of the content building.

Although not finished it is available to visit at www.practicalperformance.se for those who might be interested.

The topside VinceBar kit (the video we are currently discussing covers only the rear bar in the VinceBar kit, more videos will follow) fits with OPP. That's no problem at all.

Just make sure that the underside of your Rear Axle Carrier Panel is properly repaired and doesn't need another round of repairing.

These videos should be helpful when inspecting the underside:

I'm also available on email [email protected].

I'm still taking orders via email and PayPal invoices until the web shop is finished.

            Vince

              Thanks for chiming in 🙏

That's a great idea when moving to another set of underside plates or VinceSkinz. 👍

As mentioned that is a great idea if you will be swapping to VinceSkinz.

But if the underside of your RACP is ok, snd doesn't require another round of repairing, you can focus on the topside VinceBar kit which will take most of the stress and strain of the underside.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Vince!

I have your full VinceBar + front gusset cups kit sitting in my shopping cart: https://www.practicalperformance.se/...-m-a-product-2

If I understand the terminology correctly, that's the topside solution.

The VinceSkinz are the underside solution, correct?

If so I may simplify and stick with the VinceBar (topside) as I don't yet have any cracking yet on my underside RACP.

That's correct, the VinceBar kit is the top side kit.

The web shop isn't yet set up for shipping.
But if you want to be the very first to place an order via the web shop you can certainly do so.

We can manage shipping and, if you are in the USA, prepaid tariff (is easier and faster with prepaid via me).

Go for it, lets test run the webshop! 😊

Done! If something wasn't right with your website settings and/or you need more info or money from me (I know what it's like to setup a web shop), either email me via the email I left or PM me here. I feel like I'm thread-hijacking the original intent of this post.

                      Thanks much!

Any insight into why wagons and verts seem to have fewer issues?

Most thorough and detailed explaination of the original design flaws, failure points and rationale of the Vincebar solution. Thank you sir. It has elevated my "mechanical sympathy" for the rare occasion I drive my (non reinforced) e46 M3 hard.
Without doubt this is the solution that every e46 owner should be considering to safeguard the longevity of the platform. Look forward to website and opportunity to buy.

I know this is not the case for every wagon and vert, but generally speaking I would argue that they are more carefully driven.

Wagons didn't really have any more powerful engines than the 330i and the 330d (and the diesels were often automatics). And the typical first owner of a wagon was probably not pushing it to its limits. 😉 Nor the second.

Although the vert did come as an M3, I believe that most (not all) verts, M3s included, where enjoyed as cruisers in nice weather. At least until younger guys could afford them.

And given that there where quite a few less verts built than coupe's that also comes into play in terms of absolute numbers of verts with damage compared to coupe's.

There's really no technical reason for less damage.
The RACPs are the same. The design is the same.

So I argue that it has taken longer for the wagons and verts to show damage.
