Been running some variant of Michelin PS/PS4S on both of my E46's for years. This time around i switched on Continental Extreme Contact 02 in my Non-M, the ride feel is really nice and feel fine, but i think like the PS4S a bit better when "pushing" the car.

So if ya see a Techno M3 with Texas plates on the weekends, say hello

If you don't drive the car, put some Falken RT660s on there and sell them in 2 years and put another set on.

I don't think it ever was. I think the PS4S is a big drop off from the PSS especially in wet weather. The tradeoff is the PS4S take a little longer to turn into bricks. Still, PS4S is great for a car driven a lot of miles because after 2 years they start to get hard and downright scary in the rain.

I have ps4s on my 340 daily going on maybe their 3rd season. they’re maybe 50% worn, but there’s been a couple times I haven’t been impressed with the wet performance.

If I still have the car when they need replaced I’ll probably get the conti sports. supposedly they’re better in the wet, and are a little bit cheaper.

but I don’t drive the m3 in the rain so I just put a new set of ps4s on this year.

9.5s on an e36 with street tires is crazy. But that ship has sailed, so just get 245 contis or ps4s.

I run the Continental ECS 02's on the M2, they're a wonderful tire and handle 500+ whp and hard driving no problem yet comfortable and quiet on the highway. A set lasted me 15k miles and would've done about 20k if I hadn't had the inner shoulders wear out due to alignmenr.

A friend of mine that's a professional race car driver has told me that overall it's a better tire than PS4S... plus I've had a PS4S explode on me before so I don't run them anymore.

It was a last minute, late night, purchase on the last day of the APEX sale….fomo got me, I went with what was available in the ARC8 forged in brushed…it's manageable

the clearance is somewhat questionable, clears my front shock body by 2-3mm with a 5mm spacer.

rears need to be rolled, slight rub on passenger side with just normal compression on street, but I have not adjusted camber and I still have the full eccentric range on both sides.

17x9.5 square is a very common e36 fitment everyone runs in ET35. It does require a spacer in the front to clear the strut and some rolling + camber in the rear, but not remotely hard to fit.

Wish I had more space to keep mine around.

Very nice! Cardiff is beautiful and there's some good driving roads down the street in Rancho Santa Fe.
