Sreten has really set the new standard. No BS influencer garbage, pure love for cars. Even if you don't agree with him, his enthusiasm is such that it doesn't matter. He has shamed almost every other youtuber. Another guy I really like even though he isn't BMW centric is Chris Sullivan. Good dude, tries hard, no BS. He recently completed a e39 M5 minor refurbishment. I got into him back when I had a C63 AMG M156 and he had a car with an M156. yeah Chris Sullivan is good but his video editing is bad. if he spent more time on voice overs like he has started to do now they would be Much better. I still watched almost all his videos just FF the parts where he stands and talks for a few mins.

Ever since the fall of the Facebook group and the initial meteoric rise of the store, Matts content has kinda fallen flat for me. I realized once I stopped watching his content I started giving less of a shit about how perfect my personal cars are and started enjoying them more. His neurotic obsession was rubbing off on me in a bad way.

It's a really nice car, he's going to make it perfect. Big whup. Reminds me of back when Matt Farrah built a "perfect" foxbody Mustang w/ Maximum Motorsports and he couldn't bring himself to drive his 90k build on the streets of LA because it was too low mile, too min-maxed and stiff, and just not enjoyable anymore. Sold it damn near immediately after completion on BaT. Matt Farrah really only did that once or twice, Matt Moreman does it every single time. Streten is amazing because he takes cars that are teetering on the edge of mechanically totaled and brings them back. He truly is passionate about European cars in a way that is full of love for the experience, not the appearance.

Also his shit is very expensive on the website compared to everyone else. Guess being "obsessed" means being "stupid". I hate automotive lifestyle bullshit.

How do you say it without sounding like a hater. Matt made a shit load of money and he is really just a rich car prick. I watched a little bit of the video, he talks about a few things that make my point but the biggest one is the rod bearings. He says he doesn’t “believe in rod bearing conspiracy theories” and that he would rather blow up the motor and replace it because the S54 is “cheap,” instead of just doing the bearings for like 2 grand. Only a giant prick would have an attitude like that, and it means everything else he says is also a write off because he doesn’t even live on planet earth.

I hope I'm not the kind of keyboard warrior that spreads poison because in truth I secretly dislike my existence... but man, it isn't his OCD that bugs me, it is his elitism. One of his vids popped up recently about wheel detailing. He was explaining the benefits of the different kind of pliers/nippers he used to cut the tire nibs off the side of his brand news tires. I literally had this moment of, "why the F am I wasting my life watching this bulldonkey?" Blocked his channel.
