Does anyone know if this is the new castrol oil and not the old Shell Shite? Looks like the old design bottles to me, they might nit have updated the site yet.Originally posted by chris719 View Post
It’s fine, but I like the BMW TPT’s low Noack and better looking additive package.

I’ve ordered and they are new Castrol blended versions. The Shell version is really good also though. I think the Motul and the LM are comparable as well; thicker but with slightly worse additive packages.Originally posted by 0-60motorsports View Post

Thanks for the info. I will go ahead and order a set for the future. I change my oil once a year or 5000km so yeah i'll try the motul first LOL.Originally posted by chris719 View Post

You can’t really go too wrong. I don’t know there’s a bad 10W-60 A3/B4 from a major brand. I just noticed the BMW TPT giving good used oil analysis results with wear metals per 1000 miles on Bimmerpost and BITOG. That could be noise though. That and the 200 ppm MoDTC which is a lot for a non-boutique oil to go along with the 50 ppm of Ti additive. Of course just because an additive package looks good on a simple spectral analysis does not mean that it’s actually the best.Originally posted by 0-60motorsports View Post

Copy. Standard one.Originally posted by D-O View Post
Right on. I was trying to say that I think it is the only current offering from Castrol.
Are you going for the 300V or Motul's standard synthetic offering?
