I'm having a bunch of bad lucks. While the front subframe was out for rod bearings I figured I would change the headers and put a blue tag rack (I'm working on my non-ZCP track car). The headers were a pain because they fit poorly and now the car is all back together but the rack's leaking - which will be the topic of this thread.
Fluid comes out where the steering column meets the pinion, and from what I'm seeing online it may be due to a bad pinion seal. I watched the 50s kid video on a full rack rebuild, and it looks like a major pain that's going to take me several days because I will find out I need to order a different tool for about every seal/bearing 😅

Questions:
- should I just limit the scope of my work to the problematic seal?
- for whoever rebuilt a rack, what kit/bearings did you use?
- how can I verify it's a real blue tag rack aside from the label (I bought it on fb marketplace and the seller said it did not leak, who knows what else he didn't tell me)
