    Power Bleeding Brakes Questions

I am look to power bleed my brakes.
I have the European Power Bleeder (Black Label) - Motive Products 0109

What pressure should I set the power bleeder to.?
Do I fill the pressure bleeder with as much brake fluid as it can hold?
Drain the brake master reservoir and then fill with clean new fluid?

Can I jack up one wheel at a time and bleed?

I do 15-20 psi. Precise value depends on how impatient I'm feeling that day.

Just do a bottle at a time, that way you won't waste fluid.

You should also consider using the pressure bleeder solely as a tool to pressurize the system. i.e. keep it empty of brake fluid, then disconnect and refill the reservoir when the level gets low. A bit more running around to check the level in the reservoir, but saves a toon of cleanup time. Cleaning the pressure bleeder is kind of a pain.

I always do. Saves time and you don't flush a bunch of dirty fluid through the ABS module

Yes, but I find that putting the car on four jack stands makes the job go quicker.

Assuming this is new, don't forget to Teflon tape the brass fitting or it will leak.

        Great idea.

Bleeding process went fairly good today. Except for the last caliper to bleed, nothing came out the bleeder. Even "stranger" this is the newest caliper on the car (rebuilt).

Do I just need to buy another bleeder valve and install it?

Also, how do you remove the screen from the brake reservoir?

Honestly, I don't bother anymore. At least mine is in so tight, I used pliers, and it flew off and I got a face full of brake fluid. I just pull out the most I can with it in. On my M340i it is easily removable.

Did you paint the calipers possibly? It sounds like something is blocking the passage.

Could be the bleeder like you say, I would just take a small piece of whatever fits into the bleeder hole, like a paperclip and see if you can clear out whatever is blocking it.

I remembered the caliper I replaced had a bleeder, swapped it in today, and it bled fine.

I thought I had warped rotors, but after the bleeding it seems to be gone. Is this possible?
