What does your E46 M3 weigh? Let’s get some real-world numbers

Finally got my M3 on a certified CAT Scale today, so I figured I’d start a thread for everyone to share their actual E46 M3 weights. My 2006 E46 M3 ZCP

• 6-speed manual
• VF570 supercharged
• StopTech BBK
• Volk TE37SL wheels
• KW V2 coilovers
• Recaro Sportster CS seats
• Driver + passenger: ~275 lb combined
• ~3/4 tank of fuel

CAT Scale Results

• Front/steer axle: 1,900 lb
• Rear/drive axle: 1,780 lb
• Total with driver/passenger: 3,680 lb
• Estimated vehicle weight without occupants: ~3,405 lb
• Weight distribution: 51.6% front / 48.4% rear

I was a little surprised by the total weight, especially considering the car has added weight from the supercharger/cooling setup and BBK.

It would be interesting to see how much weight varies between ZCP vs. non-ZCP, coupe vs. convertible, SMG vs. manual, and different wheels, brakes, seats, etc.

ZCP slicktop, smg, with no other options. Will be super happy if I am in the 3200’s after some of the weight reduction stuff I’ve done. I guess i’ll find out soon enough.

Slicktop, manual, zero options: 3335 pounds (probably 10 pounds less with the Apex wheels on there now).

Edit: actually probably 30-35 pounds less as I forgot about the light weight battery.

I've been wanting to weigh mine. I have a lot of carbon and aluminum on the car, but I also have a supercharger/intercooler, rollcage, subwoofer, sunroof, etc.

According to corner balance this week mine weighs in at 3251 lbs with half a tank of gas. It’s a slicktop, manual, basically stripper spec with x2 cobra nogaros, Brembo GT 4-pot (front), SGT fiberglass csl trunk and 18”x9.5 Apex EC7s.

My experience is that "Stock" E46 M3s generally weight around 3450 swinging a little less or more depending on fuel level
