Avin Avant 4 Headunit users?

I've got one of these, bought pretty much all the upgrades for the head unit itself - did not opt for the backup camera. When the unit works, it is great - mine is very glitchy and will occasionally loose it's mind. Almost zero customer support - you end up emailing questions and then you get occasional responses with links to things that should be readily available for a user. I am on the fence is I am going to buy another for my other E46 - might try a different brand.

anyone have glitchy wireless carplay? wired works great but wireless occasionally stutters or skips every XX amount of seconds. I've re-installed autoplay apk even down rev firmware and same results.

The Avin is just a bit glitchy.

Since moving to the XTRONS, I’ve had zero such issues, using wireless CarPlay every day.

Yeah +1 for the XTRONS. I was super-skeptical going into it but 2 years in now and the review I wrote after 6 months of ownership still applies, honestly, have been very pleasantly surprised by it. Reliable and just works.

I think i've narrowed it down to the usb wireless carplay dongle, so nothing wrong with the avin unit itself. Adjusted the 5ghz wifi channels on the dongle and now all seems to be well. Most likely due to interference from commonly used wifi channels.
