I bent my dipstick tube to hell when installing my TMS airbox. It was the one thing I didn't give proper thought to before install and just kinda winged it. Regrets. I plan on replacing it with a proper CSL dipstick, but until then I have a couple questions:
1. Mangled and bent downward as it is, is it still fully capable of accurately reading my oil level? Or is it possible that it's bent so much that the end is entering the oil pan at the wrong angle which would give an incorrect reading and I shouldn't trust it?
2. I've heard that real CSLs can check oil level via OBC in the gauge cluster. Is this enabled by just having the CSL binary on my MSS54HP or do I need to code it to my cluster? Or does the CSL have its own special cluster and mine won't have this capability (build date 01/2002)
Thanks!
