Thanks guy. I’m happy with it. I love the frozen carbon finish. I’m glad there is another option on the market finally.

Nice gains indeed. I can't wait to get around to installing my Haimus box and getting it tuned.

I have had my Haimus box installed for couple weeks now. The fitment is great, quality looks great. Sounds phenomenal.

Dyno baseline, stock airbox, stock tune, stock cams, CPI stepped headers, resonators but no cats, RE El Diablo section 3 - 281 whp, 238 wtq

Haimus box installed, alpha N remote tune from Epic, everything else the same - 312 whp, 249 wtq

I mean it is an insane deal to be able to ship oil back, not even pay return shipping and get some fresh stuff. Just a hassle but does have its pros.

Don't make me go read that and dissect the results bro.

It's almost as if my statement has further reaching implications, eh?
I think a lot of that comes from Build Journal’s blog about his dyno gains from it.

Yeah, and if I expound, I'll get my forum pee-pee wacked like it has once or twice before....if not castration.

It still baffles me that people are willing to save a few hundred dollars on something as critical as the airbox. I would only get karb at this point.
I call BS on turner out performing the OE box and it certainly wouldn't outperform the karb. As Jet said, I bet any power gain it has over the stock box is comparing a dyno tuned turner box vs stock CSL numbers. The turner box has no lower snorkel or anything, it's drawing far more hot air in.

Again, price is far cheaper. But the real point is that Turner claims that their box surpassed the OE CSL box in making more power. That we have been seeing lately with dyno results, although not fair to compare due to differences in drivability goals between tuners and BMW in 2002, but at least compared to the E46 CSL car.
You said "worth the price difference", not the "thrift find price I paid as opposed to comparing the two directly on turner's site", champ.

Whose dyno results? Are you comparing tuned street car gains to stock csl gain over the standard m3?

I just looked up the price and was surprised it cost that much. For $370 more you can get a non-chinesium, 100% carbon pre-preg airbox with no questionable structural/fitment issues that is the best replica on the market.

Doesn't sound like it's worth the price difference to me, glad it is for you, however.
