    Grocery Bag Holder

After an unfortunate incident involving a beer and a seat, I've decided that I should get something to make sure nothing rolls around in the car.

I found part number 82260153360, but it doesn't seem to fit the E46. Anyone have one of these things installed in their car?

I have the BMW one installed but it’s a little different than as shown on ECS Tuning. Bought it like 15 years ago so don’t know the part number. It works great. This fits below the top gutter rail in the trunk.

*edit to add photo of the one I have installed

Ooh I like those Audi ones, thanks for the suggestion. If anyone has pics of those installed that would be great.

Edit: Just found this link with some good pictures: https://bimmertips.com/bmw-trunk-grocery-bag-hooks-mod/

This one looks good but no more availability. Wish someone would just start 3D printing or reproducing items like this.

I used to have the official e46 version one, then both it and the VAG version, then got rid of the e46 version. It takes up more trunk space but is worse at holding bags. Get the VAG version and be happy.

How does the genuine BMW Accessory take up more trunk space?

VAG ones fold up when not in use, BMW version is static.

ID:	43016 There is no discernible loss of trunk space with the BMW one. It mounts in an area where nothing goes, that’s why it’s so brilliant.
But the VW pull down hook works just fine(I have used those). A very simple yet effective alternative since the BMW one is discontinued and hard to get a hold of. As viewed the BMW E46 version has 6 hooks. You’d need to buy 3 VW ones to match the holding hooks.
There are pros and cons for both designs.
