    Went for a drive and pushed the brakes hard. Almost to the point of ABS. Now the pedal is 1/2 inch travel without the engine running and 2 inches with it running.

    Might just need to go beat on them some more to get the pedal back.

      Are you asking for the power bleeding method with pressurized reservoir? In this case I'm wrong about feeding the fluid from caliper back to reservoir. But you can catch the fluid and fill up the reservoir and repeat until there is no bubbles coming out the bleeder. Once all air are out and you're happy, then replace with new fluid.
