So...idk if it's been answer after reading all the comments, So what's better. I'm going with resonated version only. Ss Twin tube or SS "X pipe" for section 2? In my case this is my exhaust set up. Catless fabspeed headers, CPI rasp Terminator, OEM sec 2 and SCZA muffler section 3. Reason I ask is because the CPI section one has a crossover section (H Pipe) and so does the oem 2 and since it has 2 H pipe like right next to each other I feel like it's hindering exhaust flow so idk if my theory is good but ever since I installed the CPI RT I noticed at 2-3k rpm it's a "dead zone" or no power. I've been lazy to reinstall the oem sec 1 pipe to help prove it lol. I feel like it just needs a retune.

BUMPING an old thread.
thinking of swapping out my SGT single pipe resonated sect 2 for a SS 2.5in section 2.
I currently run the BW/CPI single stepped headers, SGT rasp pipe, SGT sect 2 and the SS Race muffler. Do you guys think I'll notice anything with the bigger section 2?Instagram: @_Frank_Stone_

Frank I did a lot of research on this. If you end up doing the cams and CSL airbox like you said then this sec 2 is for you. Either way it will flow better than your SGT sec 2.
However I would love to see some dyno numbers to show me otherwise and I would be interested as well in the SS dual.2004 Silbergrau Metallic 6MT

Edit: It may have been Paul that posted those tests?Last edited by stash1; 04-11-2021, 05:25 AM.

I have a full 2.5” cat-back setup (Supersprint un-resonated twin pipe section 2, Supersprint Sport section 3, Megan Racing dual resonated 2.5” section 1) mated to Megan headers which are pretty much Euro reps and obviously not 2.5”. I also just installed 272/280 cams. After reading the thread, now I wonder if the Megan headers will become the restriction in my build.
The other thinking is, if the 2.5” cat-back setup will yield to loss of power due to loss of back pressure, being bigger than the header piping. Losing my mind.Last edited by /M3; 12-25-2021, 07:01 PM.

The headers need to be either SSV1 or ARH... im unaware of a sec 1 that can mate with a non 2.5 header, but if you say so then ok.. your sec 1 needs to be SSV1 (catted or non catted) or ARH matching sec 1. Your SS sec 2 IS 2.5. Your SS exhaust IS NOT 2.5. You need a Scorza (there may be a couple more). As of now, SS doesn't make a 2.5 exhaust.Last edited by x Spades x; 12-25-2021, 07:30 PM.
