I had Indy 500s before and currently I have Federal SS595. Relatively cheaper than the 500 but performs just as good.

I had Indy 500 before and I'm now running on Continental ECS. There's more grip with the ECS but I miss the lower limits of the Indy 500s lol. They were good for the money.Originally posted by timmo View PostFor my street set I'm running Continental ExtremeContact Sport but when they wear out, will be swapping to Indy 500s

I was trying different street tires for a while; you get what you pay for.

PS4S’ on the street. PS4S’ on the track. Although I highly recommend a track tire for the track.

That's why I bought them too. When they are hot they stick like nothing else and last a long time that offsets the premium.Originally posted by lemoose View PostI run PS4S year round in San Antonio TX. Probably the best option for your use case. Their performance is best in class yet they magically also have a higher treadlife- which will cover the premium these tires usually command over their competitors

I have Continentals and they're awesome in the rain. I also experience rain daily so that matters. Grip is good but they also have longevity. I'd prefer PS4s or Sport Cups but I like my Extreme Contacts. My fronts are coming up on age and tread so I think I'll try the Michelins. Hopefully the difference in tire doesn't negatively affect the performance.Last edited by Arith2; 07-16-2020, 04:52 AM.

I have some Indy 500's in 255/35/18 square that only have 3-4k on them that I'd sell. I changed my street wheels/tires to track wheels/tires and the Indy's were removed last week.

P Zero tires now, but prior, Corsa (P Zero) tires were fitted to my sled. Corsas have so much grip, it’s unsettling; I ran out of courage trying to unstick them. Those tires were a lot of fun!
