need speaker/sound system wiring diagram

Im looking for a layman's guide to wiring schematics for the speakers and the sound system in our cars.
Specifically I have a 2005 model with the sat nav, harmon kardon, and cd changer.
Are there any decent source for this sort of thing? Couldnt find it anywhere. Thanks

Thanks its got some really good technical info. Will have to dig into it a bit.
I was also hoping to get a diagram of where the wires actually run throughout the car for each speakers and where they connect and so forth.
This way i dont have to tear everything apart looking for connections.
If anyone has any resource in that direction would be helpful
