The shocks are also monotube with 195psi of nitrogen. They shouldn't blow out after 3 years but these are wear items.

        I've had a modified version of these shocks on my M3 for 10 years with reservoirs (independent compression and rebound adjustments) and I'm on 650/750# springs. I just had the front shocks rebuilt last month for the first time.
