I have the proclip mount with the wireless charging base. I get power off the cigarette lighter.

How do you connect the wiresless charger to the mount? Any drilling required? Also, how bulky does this look/feel?

For those with the new iPhone 12 (or any phone with built in phone magnet/wireless charging feature) these can mount and charge at the same time. Just bought one (as well as a iphone12 lol)

I don’t want that on my dash, and want to wait for a MagSafe specific version— not a generic magnet mount.

Are you afraid it’ll hurt the phone at all?

I bought that for temporary use until my center console with the integrated wireless phone charge is delivered. 120 days it said on my email 😞

once i I get a new headunit + the charging center console, I won’t even need or want a dash mount. I’ll just use Apple car play

I have a USB charger in the cig lighter and I got the right length cable (with right angle micro usb). I don't think the mount is not that bulky and there is no drilling since it uses the same mounts as the dash trim.

This sounds like the ultimate solution. I am a bit old school and like the OEM form factor. Fits my persona...but it is at the price of sacrificing on modern comforts.

Maybe a little? I don't use those buttons because I have the Bluebus so I'm only in CDC mode and I only use the power on/off button. Everything else is on the phone.

Does anybody with Rennline exact fit have an iPhone 12? Want to know if the magnet on the MagSafe iPhones is strong enough to hold to the mount. I bought the Rennline a couple months ago but returned it because I did not want the huge sticker on the back of my phone. But if the new iPhones are indeed strong enough magnets might be time to upgrade and I could use this particular mount.
