Has anyone used or heard of Rouge Development? I'm currently looking a set of carbon fiber interior trim. The pictures on their website look good. Just wondering if they're a good alternative to Karbonius.

This should answer some of your questions.
Durability of real carbon fiber trim vs. carbon fiber wrap.

I will try dig out some photos from when I first unpacked and went to install as it is easier to see quality then vs when installed... but I can say that I have a Karbonius CF Roof and the quality of the Carbonized interior trim is exactly the same as that of the roof... Given Karbonius is compared to / sometimes considered better than OE I would say Carbonized can be considered about as close to what a OE CF interior trim would be if BMW (Die Weithj... however that is spelt again)

Karbonius discontinued all interior trims for the E46 and E92 M3 as they had issues sourcing the OEM trims. Prices have increased and they couldn't sustain it. Making trims is also a very time intensive process, with small margins.
OEM equivalent quality is made from pre-preg & autoclaved carbon using OEM trims as the base. The OEM finish is sanded and the carbon is applied. Twill size and optical configuration of the weave matters. Many standard overlays miss this and simply look off - when you know what to look for.
René @ CarboProject makes these and is up there with Karbonius' quality. I have the E92 Karbonius and the E46 CarboProject on the way. He offers a 1:1 CSL matching weave using 1x1 and the right optical layout. He has the entire CSL parts catalog with him, and matches them 1:1 when he's legally allowed.
I may run another pre-order for these in the future. They are otherwise available year long here.Last edited by Epoustouflant; 01-17-2022, 06:55 PM.

My car is Jet Black over Black interior. It currently has the brushed aluminum trim which I prefer over the CF trim because it breaks up all the black. The CF trim out just be something I swap in and out for a change of pace.
