Where to buy and Brey Krause R-9246 and R-9247 adapters to retain OE power controls

    Hello,

Revisiting their site shows these two adapters, don't think they were available back in 2019.

Don't see a way to order directly from BK's web site, only pointers to their distributors.

I'm in RTP NC (near Raleigh, NC), anyone in this area have suggestion(s) on where i can order BK products?

Original plan was to use the Macht Schnell floor mounts with the Recaro slider track kit, hence loose the OE power controls on driver and passenger sides.

I visited BK site back in 2019 to see what they offer for Recaro PP seats to retain the OEM sliders and only saw R-9224 option with Cobra Nogaro seat mounts. Hence gave up then.

Now, i see the R-9246 and R-9247 which if i'm understanding correctly, should allow me to use the PP seats with OEM sliders, retaining the power controls.

Are these power controls to slide front-and-back, as well as up/down? Seeing two switches.

And put the PP seats on the Recaro's side mounts, and the side mounts i'm guessing are what gets mounted to the BK sliders. At least that's what the installation PDF seem to suggest.

If not using the OEM power controls then looks like i need to also get R-9226 and R-9227.

What do you guys think about this route of mounting Recaro PP seats?

Seems like descent way to retain OEM controls and look.

I got my BK mounts through the local HMS Motorsports here in MA .. other one happens to be in NC. Actually the NC store was the one that had them in stock and they shipped to my house for free after I called. I’d call them up and ask, they are great.

      Thanks for that lead.

I haven't heard of HMS Motorsport, i do now. I'm near their NC location.

I know weight savings are the thing, but do folks these days adding racing seats tend to go with OEM sliders to retain power controls?

      Or, other aftermarket (manual) sliders?

      For daily drive cars?

I would hate to not use what i already have as far as floor mounts and sliders, but this BK route seem to retain look of OEM finish and has option to keep power controls for moving seats front to back, and not sure what the second switch controls, whether just the front tilting up/down. Don't think will control the seat height.

        Thanks much
The 9246/7 are for bottom mount seats, like the Sporsters.

For Pole Positions, you want R-9222 and R-9223

        2005 IR/IR M3 Coupe
        2012 LMB/Black 128i
        2008 Black/Black M5 Sedan

          Thank you.

I don't know what a bottom mount seat is, until now. So, Pole Positions would be side mount seats then.

I guess what drew me to R-9246/9247 is the pictures showing "two" slider switches.

I'll check but can the 9222/3 used the same way with OEM sliders as 9246/7 to put "two" switches?

I see folks have at least one power switch for sliding front and back.

Wondering if folks see less value adding second switch to the OEM slider with BK mounts.

Yes, the PPs are side mounted seats.

The 9246/7 actually only have one switch each. The picture on the listing there is a 9239 (e39 bottom mount seat mount).

There is no e46 setup with on the fly tilt adjustment (what the second switch does). The 9222/3 have multiple front holes, to allow you to set the seat angle, but not on the fly.

On the e39, the tilt motor is built into the slider. On the e46, it's built into the seat. So, no way to use it with aftermarket seat mounts.

                Thanks for that clarifications.

I was able to find the BK page on 9239 buried from the home page, which didn't list e39.
