FYI, received this email from Turner Motorsport today:

"Regarding your order for the Genuine BMW E46 M3 CSL trunk lid. We have been informed the part has been discontinued at this time from all our North American and European suppliers, as it appears BMW has stopped producing the item at this time. Please let me know if you need to cancel your existing order due to this."

I ordered my trunk 10/22/2020.

This is not correct, BMW has Not stopped producing them just that TMS cant get you one. I just called the Dealership here and they checked on their system and the trunk is ready and available to order. Heck I just got mine a few weeks back.

Doesn't mean some aren't unfairly taking advantage of the situation. I believe Schmiedmann is downstream of this, though.

It looks like ECS has been able to honor the prices, which indicates that they had some form of understanding with BMW to source trunks whenever they were made available
Schmiedmann seems so far downstream of any buying process that paying them for a trunk up front only gets you a spot in their line for whenever they decide to make a purchase from BMW. seems a little flimsy

Question for those of you that have ordered from Schmiedmann to the US.
Any additional costs during shipment? Duty charge or import charge as they mention is “potential “

I payed I want to say around $75 for the CSL trunk from Schmiedmann. I didn't have to pay anything on a Karbonious airbox shipped from GB though, smaller, lighter box but the contents were significantly more expensive.
