    Race exhaust

Does anybody have hard data about going to a true race style exhaust like single 3.5in? At what power level do you think the stock style starts to be a limiter? Lots of people myself included get up to that 300 or so wheel hp with aftermarket stock style parts. But what if you are trying to squeeze more power out of a car with a csl style box and Shrick 288/280 cams that already has catless headers and an scza muffler? Could section one and two be that restrictive? I’m hearing they are. I really don’t want to make my car any louder lol

I think the general consensus on here is the supersprint twin tube 63.5mm (cats/resonated if you don't want more noise) is the way to go for power and no loss of torque like you'd get on a single 3.5 but I'm not expert. Just parroting what I gathered from other threads.

If you don't want the car to be loud do not get a 3.5 in exhaust. I have the BW one on the track car and it is seriously loud. I put the optional resonator on as well as the muffler and it made practically no difference.

Isn't the 3.5" stuff made irrelevant/obsolete with the newer dual 2.5" ss sect 2 & 3 (sect3 needs to be custom through SS at this time)?

IMO on a pure race setup a proper true single pipe wins everywhere except for sound, clearance and all the stuff that may not matter being "race". The losses come from the bits between or at the ends of the sections of pipe e.g. cats, resonators, merges, bends, muffler etc

Further to your point, that BW 3.5" system is virtually a straight shot to exit.

The dyno data has proven pretty clearly that the dual 2.5" is better for power and torque as compared to the single 3.5" across all setups.

I need to get serious with my exhaust setup! I didn’t think there would be so much power left on the table after the cams and air box.

Single 3.5 is going to be annoying (LOUD) and gut the bottom/mid range power. If it's a dedicated race car, those don't matter and it flows the best and is the lightest.

So, if you car sees any street use at all, I'd avoid it. If not, go for it.

Agree 1000 percent. I attract every cop and street racer from miles around whenever I drive the car on the street.

Its also not good for in car instruction. Thats why I am looking to go smaller. But I really like the single exit BW diffuser so its a struggle.

Definitely not doing the 3.5 single. I’ll need that second mortgage for all the Super Sprint stuff I want.

Sounds like you need a Laguna pipe. 😅

Hey guys. I’m looking to drive at Harris Hill soon, which has a 99 dB limit trackside and an 85 dB limit at the property line. With the BW exhaust, I know I’m going to get flagged, so I’m trying to find a slip on turn tip that I can attach when I drive at Harris Hill. All of the tips I find are really long, so I was
