When the cars were 10 years old, you go get the original mats from the dealership. Now, you find a suitable alternative (OE all weather mats or non-M E46 mats) especially for non-essential stuff like this. The car will still drive with non-M floor mats. And because the cars aren't doing much mileage, your replacement parts will probably last even longer.

Are they still the original high pile quality of the originals? or are they just the same cheap ones we've discussed here without the M3 logo? Well one thing those plain mats don’t have/never had is the thicker carpet in the heel area. That area on every BMW mat I’ve seen that had the reinforced “pad” area is still the area that wears a hole. So logically no heel pad in carpet pile, quicker the wear.Originally posted by sasha View PostAre they still the original high pile quality of the originals? or are they just the same cheap ones we've discussed here without the M3 logo? But I do know that’s different from your question if the carpet fibers and thickness of pile is same as earlier M3 logo versions.6MT SLICKTOP - OE CSL Wheels - OE CSL Brakes - CSL Rack - CSL Trunk - CSL Diffuser - AA Tune - AA Pulleys- AS 40% SSK - 4.10 Motorsport Diff - Bilstein PSS9s - H&R Swaybars - CSL Lip - Gruppe M CF Intake - Supersprint - M Track Mode

I've been considering picking these up, actually. Anything noteworthy apart from no M3 logo?Originally posted by 0-60motorsports View Post2006 E46 M3 Interlagos Blue ZCP SlicktopBuild Thread: https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/m...6-m3-ownership

I mean there aren't really any other options at this time, so it is what it is. The mats on my F97 are $300. And when BMW does do another run of the logo mats for the E46, my guess is that the price is going to be higher than $200. At that time, I imagine someone will be saying "$300 isn't worth some logos." I think the days of $130 floor mats are gone, unfortunately. And then all the E46 mats will go NLA, or backordered for like a half a decade, and people will be saying "I wish I bought them when they were available." I hope I am wrong, but I've been through this thought exercise with both e30's and e36's. Hahah I guess my long winded point is, buy them now or forever hold your peace, I think the price is irrelevant.Originally posted by fattycharged View Post
for $200 I'd expect a pad and some M3 logos…

I love that the older ///M cars do not have so many ///M logos everywhere.
So yeah ordered another set of the plain mats to vacuum seal and store. I switch between these and the OEM BMW rubber mats depending on the weather.

BMW mats really aren’t that good compared to what’s on the market. If were going to buy plain mats they’d be lower on the list. Lloyd Mats are far and away much better quality. Many high end tuners use them as supplier for their brand mats.Originally posted by Bimma360 View PostI've been considering picking these up, actually. Got some Lloyd's rubber mats for my camper van this past summer and liked them so much, had them to a custom order for me for the rest of the floor. Never occurred to me to use them for the M. My mats are ok but not the best, ordered a set of black "Ultimat" carpet 4pc set for $163, minus 15% ending today.Originally posted by old///MFanatic View PostBMW mats really aren’t that good compared to what’s on the market. Wise choice. 👍🏻 I did see they had Black Friday sale still up.Originally posted by Keith_MN View PostGot some Lloyd's rubber mats for my camper van this past summer and liked them so much, had them to a custom order for me for the rest of the floor. For many who are replacing worn out driver (front) mats. One can just buy the Lloyd Mat fronts (2 piece) and keep their barely used rears.
Buying the plain thin black BMW ones for close to $200 when much better options are out there is ill-conceived.
In many cases “Euro” gets you a different not US over-regulated/changed part on our BMWs. In this case it just simply means “plain”. And if one just wants plain, BMW supplier ones are not the upgrade in this particular instance.6MT SLICKTOP - OE CSL Wheels - OE CSL Brakes - CSL Rack - CSL Trunk - CSL Diffuser - AA Tune - AA Pulleys- AS 40% SSK - 4.10 Motorsport Diff - Bilstein PSS9s - H&R Swaybars - CSL Lip - Gruppe M CF Intake - Supersprint - M Track Mode
