Should these holes be plugged? (CSL trunk)

I noticed on the stock trunk there are holes in the same spot as the hole pictured below on my OE CSL trunk. The holes on the stock trunk are about half the size but have rubber plugs in them.
Simple question, should these holes on the CSL trunk be plugged? I figured they were drain holes until I saw them plugged on the stock trunk.
Haven't had much luck finding anything on RealOEM.

Typically trunks don't have drain holes or vents, the drain is done on the outside of the trunk to allow water to flow around the trunk . If water was able to get inside the trunk lid it would rust overtime. Haven't dealt with this yet but personally I would plug it.

Lmao gonna check on mine later today now. I wonder if the plugs do anything. Never had any water issues and I’m fairly certain I never put a plug on mine.
