So I know on the MK 20 cars you can press the DSC button and the light comes on the dash but there's still some form of traction control that can engage mainly in times of wheel spin coming at around the corner. and on the MK 20 cars if you press and hold the DSC button for 10 or 12 seconds the light will stay on and it will not turn off until you turn the ignition off and turn it back on which meant that the system was completely disabled.
On the MK 60 cars like in my car or in my case I have the ZCP MK60 module... I can press the DSC button and the light turns on I can press it once and it turns off I was under the assumption that pressing out once and you see the light come on means it is completely disabled...
I saw online for other MK 60 threads where people stated that they would press and hold the DSC button and they would get the DSC light and the brake light illuminated in the cluster
I tried this and I didn't get that.
However earlier today I was taking a right turn and I thought my wheel was completely straight but I laid into it on first gear and at about 6,000 rpms I felt throttle cut out when I was in boost (about 9psi)
So I went to check my car right now and if I press and hold the DSC button the light just turns off and it won't turn back on sometimes other times it will eventually come back on if I repeatedly press the DSC button over and over again.
so I'm just curious on the MK 60 cars what is the definitive way to completely disable DSC where there's no intervention short of pulling the fuse?
