How loud will solid diff and solid subframe bushing

Going solid subframe. Considering solid diff to avoid having to buy a while cover, shipping to Hawaii is killer.

Its my fun car. Full interior.

OE 3.62 diff won’t be too bad. More likely to have a bad whine if you’re running a 4.10 or a 3.91 diff.

      solid subframe is fine.

solid diff is not advised. Go for a soft poly. AKG seem to be popular. Powerflex is junk. I went with Revshift from fcp for the warranty.

Don't even do that, poly diff bushings are so annoying. I highly regret mine.

          Right. Agree 100%.

But only way to get OE bushings is the whole diff cover which the OP said he didn’t want to shop to HI.

Thanks for posting this for reference. I'd really like to hear one with the stock diff bushings

Anything other than stock diff bushings is obnoxiously loud. Solid subframe is fine.

I went with OEM rear subframe bushings after the reinforcement and then the 80A diff bushings and never noticed a difference in NVH at all tbh. Buying a new cover just for those bushings seemed stupid.

                    Poly is a waste.

Solid is tolerable on the street if you’re willing to put up with some noise. It really depends on how noisy the particular diff is. Stock 3.62’s are generally quiet.

The annoying part will be the diff whine is worse at 70-80mph. If you do a lot of highway driving, not a good idea.

I also find the whine from my poly bushings annoying. I’d keep them stock if I had to do it again.

Have you installed solid subframe bushings on the coupe?

When I had mine done I used e36 M3 bushings pressed in the diff cover. Much cheaper than replacing the whole cover. Part # 33-17-1-134-872

But also softer/ lower performance, without a NHV benefit over stock in exchange.
