I liked the CSL parts before I owned my M3, and I was convinced I'd mod my car to incorporate all of them. Now that I've had it for a while, I have zero interest in doing any of the CSL bits.

1 piece lip can go hang out with angel eyes in tasteless corner. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Cheapens the whole look of these cars (IMO)

I spent about 5 minutes comparing and I see the cheapness.

I was thinking 1 piece with stock bumper and 2 piece with CSL but not anymore. Now to figure out if CSL bumper is good or bad for white... It's really my internal debate since I bought the car.

If you check out Mile End Composites' Instagram, he's reposted a few white cars with his bumper. i think it looks really clean (white accentuates the simplicity of the bumper)
I can't recommend Mile End enough, unless you're springing for OEM.

Mile end and OE seem like the only worthwhile options made today.

CSL trunk just looks so clean compared to the plain coupe trunk that every E46 coupe has.
And sans trunk handle, with the new "crease line" from top of tail light across looks like the designers planned it this way the whole time.

i got lucky with my Status Gruppe bumper i got from Frank (OneFastSicilian)....whomever owned it modified the guide rails. They removed the stock guide rails from a stock bumper & epoxied/plastic welded them to the Status Gruppe one. I'm not sure how the SG bumper was supposed to be attached, but my car was a kevlar bumper car....and i did some modifying myself to ensure the gaps lined up properly.

My thought on the SG one....the appearance once painted looks identical to the OEM one (minus the tow hook opening in my case). No chipmunk cheeks.

My status gruppe bumper before I damaged it looked 95% identical to genuine csl bumper with perfect fitment. Hit a branch over a year ago and now can’t get the side gaps to close

I know AIT is the manufacturer, but the link for the bumpers are gone. Looks like SGT got a hold of them. If SGT wasn’t shady and didn’t have a 4+ month wait time I’d buy another from them

One piece lip looks far worse to me

Yeah i should’ve gotten a spare one directly from AIT when that surfaced as the supplier. I was able to get spare carbon fiber splitters from SG last year. Ironically it only took a week to get to me.

I Prefer the Euro bumper sans foglights, I think that's the cleanest look for the front end. The CSL Bumper is nice if you get a nice piece, and it also integrates lips/splitters much much better than the stock bumper. The stick on splitters and one piece lips look like garbage.

I have a very difficult time convincing myself I don't need a CSL trunk, but I like good fitment, and the lip spoiler delete on the stock trunk is very clean.

I like the CSL diffuser, but it's a bit overdone, I recently picked up a ACS rep diffuser piece that I plan on painting gloss black and mounting with some nice hardware. Sans Chrome/CF I think its my favorite rear diffuser.
