I don't have the removable center, by choice - I prefer as rigid as possible, but it is a pita to do engine work.

I get that. Though the removable joints they use seem to be the same type (or better) that's used to join two pieces of roll-cage tubing in those high dollar Porsche, Ferrari, etc. "removable" cages. Probably almost a moot point as far as stiffness goes.

Now that I've said that, you'll probably point me to their website showing a material difference in measurable stiffness. Gonna go figure out how to expand my # of posts per page viewing settings 😋

Reviving a stale thread. Does anyone have experience with the DMG PRO-46 R strut brace? I like the fact the center section can be removed without unbolting the mount plates.

I think Omaha wins worst potholes hands down. The freeze/thaw and poor maintenance does a number on the roads here. As for the stock strut bar not doing anything, I can feel a huge difference if I leave it off. It’s way worse if you don’t have the aluminum under tray installed.

Having driven in both LA and DC, DC is worse!

Still don’t see how a strut bar is going to help you but if they do, more for power to have them on 👍

If you’re not tracking the car, I don’t see how you could possibly push your car that hard on the streets to notice the bar to be working or not. My $0.02.

Unless you’re tying the bar into the firewall for front end clip like the F8X then the OEM bar is all you really need.

Agreed.

I didnt feel any performance difference between stock and the Mason bar. But the early models had no bar, so the Mason was definitely an upgrade.

But the stock mounts are weak and once they start to fail upgrading to a one piece mason or RE makes sense to me.

If your stock bar is in good shape just leave it as is.
