Mishimoto provided a NPT and probe style temperature sensor within the electric fan swap kit. I'm running a stock BMW radiator.
The NPT style sensor requires me to tap into the radiator or tap into the coolant line. The probe style sensor is supposed to be inserted into the radiator and is supposedly reasonably accurate within a few degrees.
I'd rather get the temperature directly from the coolant. Have any of you tapped into the existing coolant temperature sensor?
