Is there market for monoball rear upper control arm monoball? SyncroDesignWerks

I sent out a few messages and got a reply that SyncroDesignWerks may be interested but as with any company, it only makes sense to produce a part that has a market.

Because of the CSL we have an option of monoball bearing in rear lower control arm(Bimmerworld also offers a monoball) but the rear upper control arm does not have an option for monoball bushing/bearing. Is there any interest in such a product? This would be a quality sealed streetable bearing like SyncroDesignWerks rtab.

Rogue sells RE.247 for that location but it's an open bearing for race use. Assuming the RTAB and LCA are on monoballs, this would be the last rear suspension arm without a ball joint correct?

I messaged Rogue since I found their exposed bearing, they haven't replied. RUCA is the last rubber bushing in the rear suspension.

If there was an OE style (sealed, nylon isolated) monotball for that location, I'd buy it next time I had the rear subframe out for something else. That's also my only remaning rubber in the rear.

Those control arms are a bit hard to push bushings into/out of. I cracked one of mine, with the result that I now have one blue arm and one alu arm

Pic from last week, as I'm currently doing a Vincebar, wavetrac diff, CMP subframe mounts, and monoball lower arms.

In the process of reinforcing my rear end. I would definitely be interested in a sealed monoball design.

the only one I have came across is RE. for the E36 chassis, there was a guy who modified his control arm and welded a larger end to the arm to accommodate for the same moonball bearing as the outer location. ours, being aluminum, may not be so simple. The best option at this time is the RE bearing and give maintenance to it so it lasts as long as possible. I don't think durability would be problem if I am honest.

I am running the RE bearing in that location. I notice no additional NVH. I have solid in the outers as well, along with the RTABS. No additional noise at all. Key I think is sticking with OE diff bushings.

I’d be interested if it is sealed like their rtab

As others have said - there are options available but they are not sealed, they are open monoball, so essentially race parts. If someone developed a close monoball for that bush I would, similar to Obioban, 100% order it when i next do work in that area... I think I need a sealed one for the lower arm as well as my ECS Tuning rear arms have a rubber bush - O haven't find a sealed monobal joint for this bush either if someone has a link?

I had no luck finding a monoball for lower arm so I just ordered CSL arms. My first option was to reinforce the stock metal arm and press in a monoball but there is no monoball available in that dimension.(I measured all the monoballs on e46 and e9x M3s)

Turner makes one of these too that I am currently running.

Yeah, lots of unsealed options exist. They just don't last a long time for street driven cars.

Yer I am in for a sealed monoball on both the inner bushes (upper and lower)... not really interested in the extreme investment for a set of CSL arms

That’s how I ended up with the Bimmerworld sealed monoball adjustable lower control arms... even though I have a very low opinion of Bimmerworld.

Interesting... I stupidly bought some ECS Tuning ones wayyy before I started my build, when I then actually started researching parts and setup before I bought things...

If no one comes up with some inner monoball bushings i may need to get a Bimmerworld set eventually if that is the only non-CSL option
